It's not a bad game. It has all the core systems you'd want to see from Necesse, Core Keeper, Terraria, etc. You've got a progression in terms of gear, and one in terms of "access" through keys that typically require some of the material from <current_zone> to unlock access to <next_zone>. Barriers between parts of the world are deep water and presumably bedrock - the former you can traverse via bridges, and the latter once you have a pickaxe of sufficient tier. All gloves are off then, so to speak. Reaching different strata requires you to find the stairs up or down, and a lot of these islands are interconnected through various depths. There's a fast travel system that costs a tiny fee...
