[h2]The Tape, a lackluster experience[/h2] The Tape is a simple walking simulator about a cult and their sins. Sadly, it neither offers a unique or compelling story nor gameplay that is in any way interesting or engaging. The highlight of the game, even with that term used sparingly, is the small minigame towards the end where you have to survive four minutes in an endless abyss of water. But even that was monotonous and quite boring, and that describes the game as a whole pretty well. The post game bonus modes are interesting concepts which aren't fleshed out particularly well, but they at least offer some variety in gameplay and a few short experiences.
