This is a brutal, fascinating fusion of dungeon crawler and horror that feels ahead of its time. Taking the Wizardry-like formula and dropping it into a haunted hospital setting was a genuinely fresh idea in the early ’90s, and it still stands out today for its eerie atmosphere and unsettling tone. Exploration feels tense and unpredictable, and there’s a real sense of being thrown into the deep end with little guidance. The UI is definitely cumbersome and adds to the challenge - sometimes more than intended - and not having the manual readily available makes the learning curve even steeper. That said, if you’re willing to push through the rough edges (and maybe lean on a walkthrough here ...
