I really wanted to enjoy The Interactive Adventures of Dog Mendonça & Pizzaboy more than I did, because the setting and supernatural detective idea have a lot of potential. Unfortunately, several things kept pulling me out of the experience. My biggest problem is the story. It becomes confusing and unfocused, especially toward the end. Instead of naturally explaining the mystery as the game progresses, it eventually feels like the game suddenly decides, “Okay, time to explain everything,” and starts throwing information at you about the curse, ghosts, past murders, the director, the casino, and other characters.
