This game has been in my library for a really long time because I love X-Com games. But I was always put off by the fact that it wasn’t quite that. I just checked it out. It was a waste of time... The biggest problem is that this game appears to be an X-Com game with a pretty good story, but it isn’t turn-based—it’s a hybrid of a third-person shooter and a turn-based game. The boss fights are annoying, the levels are basically ugly, and the essence of X-Com is missing from the game. I started on Veteran difficulty—that was a mistake—then switched to the easiest setting, but it was so boring. The second difficulty level might have been enjoyable if I’d been able to improve.
