As I have finished playing all the modes, I feel like I should give my two cents. Steel Vampire is a very unique SHMUP that can't be compared to many other games, it offers something interesting and unique, but not without some issues. The point here is to be aggressive as possible as most of your damage will come from shooting enemies as close as possible. At first the size of the ship, the letterbox screen and sideways screen scrolling may throw you off but it's part of what makes this game unique.
