Starward Rogue is a pretty fun top down shooter. A few things stand out when compared to other similar games. There isn't a lot of emphasis on Meta progression (which isn't bad, really!) All of the robots you can pilot are unlocked right away and some items seem to be locked behind completing achievements or something, but it all feels natural. The items and mods and weapons are all pretty unique and can create some fun combos. The randomness in what you find keeps the super broken builds to a minimum but when you find the right combo you feel it. So much visual clutter!
