Spirit of the North is a single-player 3rd-person adventure game inspired by the breathtaking and mysterious landscapes of Iceland. Play as an ordinary red fox whose story becomes entwined with the guardian of the Northern Lights, a female spirit fox.

I like the idea of this one but there is a real lack of polish. Animations are crude, artifacting is common and a lot of animations are reused awkwardly. For a game that is so much about atmosphere this is a real downside. The motif is great and the gameplay is good but there are just so many rough edges that take me out of the experience. The fox should have more variety in it's idle animations, more natural flow from one animation to another. If this was a high speed action game or a zoomed out RTS this wouldn't be an issue. But in a slow paced game all about atmosphere any slight blemish stands out hard so it needs to be extremely polished.
