I Did Not Expect to Love Mato Anomalies This Much Mato Anomalies has some gameplay DNA that feels a lot like Persona 5, but set against a Blade Runner backdrop. Then, out of nowhere, some of the story beats play out like online comics. It's an odd combination, but it works. The art style is unusual — I won't pretend otherwise — but it's genuinely beautiful and remarkably cohesive. Nothing about it feels bolted on. The story is weird and futuristic, and it kept giving me Altered Carbon flashbacks.
