Picked this game up cause of the heavy Metroid inspiration and it was 5 bucks. I got stuck for a bit because i refused to use the map. This game was a solid days worth of play. I found myself loving some of the 2d 3d world puzzles like in the arachnids lair and the tower escape. Game play was pretty solid except when you would get put into a damage loop and die. Using the abilities at moments was kinda janky and some redundancy in the moves like the ice pillar, fire/electric both being dashes. The boss fights where fun but left me wanting more varying patterns instead of RNG on 3 movesets for example the lava boss. Also where was the epic boss music you need the epic boss music all in all...
