Something I commonly hear floating around in the BloodRayne community is to engage only if you're willing to become a fan. This notion mainly applies to the second game, as many parts of it aren't pleasing to them as this game, but I'd like to comment on the first game myself. I like the idea of a vampiress protagonist. Lots of things about the game I hadn't even noticed until looking into individual overviews of it and I appreciate the small details, along with the mood / aesthetic. But the biggest gripe I have with BloodRayne is the gameplay. With the main component of BloodRayne (Hack N' Slash) being combat, the game gives you very little to work with.
